Overshare’s first yearling sells at Magic Millions

Spendthrift Australia were thrilled with the sale of Overshare’s first progeny, sold at the Gold Coast Magic Millions for $180,000.
The bay filly was the first yearling through the sale ring for the son of I Am Invincible and out of the USA mare Spirited Away, offered by Glastonbury Farms as Lot 823. She was purchased by team Hawkes, a strong supporter of Spendthrift, with the team also training her sire to great success including the G3 Caulfield Zeditave.
Team Hawkes had a high opinion of Overshare as a racehorse. “He’s by I Am invincible and he’s a seriously good-looking horse… We’ve always thought he is up to the top grade”.
Garry Guddy, General Manager of Spendthrift Australia, was thrilled that the filly is headed to John, Wayne and Michael’s stable because “Team Hawkes don’t buy horses for the sake of it, they buy quality individuals.”
Being sold for $180,000 it was a 16 times return on investment for Glastonbury Farms, with Overshare standing at stud for $11,000, indicating early success for the young sire.
