Jimmy Creed filly rolls by 10 in U.S. debut

November 22, 2017

Jimmy Creed, a top-five North American First-Crop sire of winners this year, got his latest on Nov. 22 at Mahoning Valley racecourse in eastern Ohio when Thoughtless Doll crushed her competition by 10 1/4-lengths in a five-furlong maiden special weight contest for 2-year-old fillies.

The bay filly broke well and began to assert herself in the first furlong, and was never threatened at any point, finishing under wraps in :59.46 seconds.

The winner is trained by Jim Chapman, who is co-owner with Chris Meyer. Thoughtless Doll was bred in Kentucky by Equus Farm.

Jimmy Creed’s first crop of winners now numbers 17 and includes six stakes horses, topped by Del Mar’s Sorrento S. (G2) winner Spectator and the Grade 2-placed filly Wall of Compassion.
