Buoyant streak of Northern winners for Hampton Court

June 25, 2019

Spendthrift Australia’s shuttle sire Hampton Court (AUS) (Redoute’s Choice) was a track-record setter in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes, and now his first northern hemisphere crop are carving their own impressive status on the track with four winners emerging from six runners to date.

Miss Merida (USA) headlined the winning streak when breaking her maiden at her very first start, with Ahivar Asquifar (USA) getting a second win on the board for Hampton Court in similar fashion.

Trainer William Helmbrecht guided his 2-year-old filly Well Spent (USA) to win on debut at Churchill Downs soon after, earning US$35,280 for her connections – nearly six times that of the service fee.

His fourth winner was realised over the weekend when the Carl Deville-trained 2-year-old colt Fast Verdict (USA) stepped up in distance to win over 5f at his third start.

Hampton Court is standing the current season at Spendthrift Australia where clients have the option to breed either payable on a live foal or as part of the farm’s Breed Secure program.
