Warrior's Reward filly tops Keeneland's Tuesday session

Warrior's Reward

Tuesday, September 19, 2017
Spendthrift stallion Warrior's Reward had the session-topper during Tuesday's action at the Keeneland Yearling sale in central Kentucky. The sale is widely regarded as the premier yearling auction on the U. S. sales calendar

Warrendale Sales, agent for Hargus and Sandra Sexton, consigned hip No. 2702, with Live Oak Plantation placing a winning bid of $325,000US for the dark bay filly.

The filly's dam, Unbridled Appeal, has already produced three stakes performers and is a half-sister to Keeneland stakes winner Turkappeal, as well as Rehear, the dam of graded stakes winners Mani Bhavan and Hear the Ghost.

Tuesday's session-topper was Warrior's Reward's first offering of the sale. He has 25 lots remaining in the auction, which runs through Sept. 23.
