Thursday, September 24, 2015
The all-important middle market at the Keeneland September Yearling sale showed strong results for Spendthrift stallion Warrior’s Reward, led by a $205,000 colt and $195,000 filly.

On Wednesday the 23rd, hip No. 3013, consigned by Paramount Sales, agent, went to Mersad Metanovic Bloodstock for $205,000. The bay colt is out of Perfectly Natural, who is a full sister to stakes winner Devereux and from the same family as Grade 1 horses General Meeting and Teddy’s Promise.

One day earlier, Greenfield Farm consigned hip No. 2568, which went to Key Palm Racing LLC for $195,000. The filly’s stakes-place dam Look Upon has already produced the stakes winner Shine Upon as well as Grade 1-placed Keep the Peace.

On Monday the 21st hip No. 2037, also consigned by Paramount, went to Big Red Farm for $140,000. The colt’s female family is rich in black type, including multiple Grade 1 winner Pure Clan and Grade 2 winner Greater Good.
