Sunday, January 14, 2018
Warrior's Reward got his second northern hemisphere stakes winner of the day on Jan. 13 when Medal of Courage surged to a 1 3/4-length score in the US$50,000 Fremont S. at Delta Downs in southern Louisiana.

Medal of Courage covered the five furlongs in :57.98 seconds, wearing down Forerun after a tough stretch battle that lasted until the sixteenth pole, when the winner began to edge clear (VIDEO).

An ultra-consistent performer from his sire's excellent first U.S. crop, Medal of Courage has won or placed in 31 of 46 lifetime outings and banked nearly $300,000. The winner was bred in Kentucky by J. M. Herbener Jr. and Dr. & Mrs. Patrick Ford and is from the same family as champion filly Sacahuista.

Warrior's Reward has been ranked in the top 10 each of his first three years at stud in his home country and now has more than US$12.2 million in progeny earnings with nearly 30 stakes horses to his name.
