A colt from the first crop of Spendthrift stallion Jimmy Creed brought $320,000US during Tuesday's session of the March 14-15 OBS March Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale in Ocala, Florida.

Jimmy Creed's first North American foals are 2-year-olds of 2017 and will begin racing in April of this year.

Thoroughbred Champions Training Center LLC consigned hip No. 179, which went to perennial leading buyer Dennis O'Neill. The bay colt is out of the five-time stakes winner Shiny Sheet, also the dam of Grade 3-placed Small Town Talk. The Kentucky-bred colt had worked a quarter mile in :21.3 seconds during the Under Tack Show.

Jimmy Creed was the second-leading North American Freshman Sire during the first day of the sale, behind only Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Orb.  Jimmy Creed bred 141 mares in 2014, his first season at stud in Kentucky, while his first Australian foals are due to arrive this year.
